There are three ways to make your payment: 1. Traditional Method Return your first payment with your pledge form. If you pay by credit card you must also sign the authorization at the bottom. 2. Online Method CanadaHelps.org has made it convenient for you to make monthly credit card contributions to the campaign. Go to stclements-church.org, click on the green box labelled CAPITAL CAMPAIGN and then click on DONATE NOW! You will be taken to the CanadaHelps.org website where you may make a onetime gift or have a preset amount deducted monthly. Make sure you designate your gift to the capital campaign. You will receive your charitable receipt for the full gift directly from CanadaHelps.org. However, with this method, 3% of your gift is withheld by CanadaHelps.org to cover their administrative costs, so St. Clement's receives only 97% of your gift. 3. Gifts of securities Since 2006 it has been possible to donate publicly listed securities to public charities. These types of donations will be exempted from capital gains taxation. If you own securities that have appreciated in value, you may wish to donate these securities rather than cash. To donate securities, please indicate this on your pledge form when you return it to the Church office to the attention of our parish administrator who will contact you to set up the transfer. |
