A human resources manager may spend no more than twenty seconds reviewing a resume before deciding whether to follow up with the candidate or discard it. This means that having the right resume may be the critical first step in finding a new job.

With that in mind, Patricia Crawford, Marketing Manager with RBC Wealth Management and a parishioner at St Clements, presented a workshop on resume writing at St Clements that explored different resume styles, information that should be included and tips for making your resume stand out from the crowd (including the effective use of good cover letters).
