Music Concert Committee

This committee arranges music and music concerts at St Clement’s, including the Sundays at 3 Series. This includes inviting musicians to play, and then promoting the concerts and administering them. The committee meets about five times a year.

Office Volunteers

Working either a full or half-day in the church office-–usually once a week, some come every other week. The job involves answering the church telephone, helping with all kinds of questions, or passing on callers to church staff. Other office duties include copying, putting mail through the stamp machine, and proof-reading.

Property Committee

Property volunteers provide assistance and support as required to the efficient operation of the building. One of the members currently provides the liaison function with respect to those renting church facilities.

Readers

These volunteers read aloud passages of scripture during Sunday services. Readers are given an opportunity to select preferred dates, including days which might have particular meaning for them. On average people will read once every couple of months.

Sides Teams

Members of the sides teams are essentially ushers. They greet folks as they arrive for church, and give assistance to anyone who needs it during the 9 and 11am services. Jobs include handing out bulletins, assisting with collection, and giving directions. The team rotation is every five weeks for 9 am, and every ten weeks for 11 am. (Members pick the service time most convenient for them.) New volunteers are given on-the-job training.

Wednesday Community Lunch

These volunteers provide food, clothing, supplies and fellowship to disadvantaged people in the St Clement's area. Every Wednesday between 9 am and 1 pm, volunteers prepare and serve a lunch. Responsibilities include setting weekly menus, shopping and offering genuine hospitality to our guests.

Welcome Committee

Members work to make St Clement's a welcoming and accessible church. They welcome newcomers and introduce them to member, as well as our building and services. They also greet parishioners before services, organize name tags, and arrange a Welcome Lunch from time to time for new members. Meetings are held three to five times a year, and members work on a rotating roster.
