History » Stones & Glass

Our church buildings grew over a 60-year period:

1891    First Church (the cornerstone has been relocated to outside the east door on Duplex Avenue)

1900    First Parish Hall (the current Kindergarten Room)

1907    First Parish Hall Extension (the  Old Parish Hall)

1925    New Church (our current worship space)

1939    New Parish Hall (the Lower Hall) and Club Room additions

1950    Upper Auditorium (now Canon Nicholson Hall)

1954    Richard L. Baker Wing and Sacristy and Sunday School Office

1958    Briar Hill Christian Education Wing

There are twenty-seven stained glass windows in our worship space.  While many churches exhibit the work of one principal artist, our windows represent the work of five major Canadian stained glass companies.
